Palisades Interstate Park Commission

Palisades Interstate Park and its creator, the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, was formed in 1900 by governors Theodore Roosevelt of New York and Foster M. Voorhees of New Jersey in response to the destruction of the Palisades by quarry operators in the late 19th century. The Palisades are the cliffs on the west bank of the Hudson River across from and continuing north of Manhattan island.

Alpine is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It is a suburb of New York City, located 15 miles northwest of Midtown Manhattan. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 1,849, reflecting a decline of 334 (-15.3%) from the 2,183 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 467 (+27.2%) from the 1,716 counted in the 1990 Census.

Demarest is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 4,881, reflecting an increase of 36 (+0.7%) from the 4,845 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 45 (+0.9%) from the 4,800 counted in the 1990 Census. Demarest was formed by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 8, 1903, from portions of Harrington Township and Palisades Township.

Glenwood (Metro-North station)

The Glenwood Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Glenwood neighborhood of Yonkers, New York via the Hudson Line. Trains leave for New York City every 25 to 35 minutes on weekdays. It is 15.5 miles from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is about 38 minutes.
