Burr–Hamilton duel

The Burr–Hamilton duel was a duel between two prominent American politicians, the former Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton and sitting Vice President Aaron Burr, on July 11, 1804. At Weehawken in New Jersey, Burr shot and mortally wounded Hamilton. Hamilton was carried to the home of William Bayard on the Manhattan shore, where he died at 2:00 p.m. the next day.

Union Hill, New Jersey

Union Hill was a town that existed in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, from 1864 to 1925. Union Hill was incorporated as a town by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 29, 1864, from portions of Union Township (later to be known as West New York). Portions of North Bergen Township were added in 1866. The town was reincorporated on March 27, 1874. On January 1, 1925, Union City was formed from the merger Union Hill and West Hoboken Township.
