Tipperary Hill Heritage Memorial

The Tipperary Hill Heritage Memorial, dedicated in 1997, is located on Tipperary Hill in Syracuse, New York. The memorial was erected in honor of early citizens who, in the opinion of local resident's, were brave sons of Ireland who stood up to City Hall and won the battle of the "Green over Red" traffic light. The memorial features bronze, life-size figures of a 1930s Irish immigrant family and was sculpted by Dexter Benedict of Penn Yan, New York.

Green Lakes State Park

Green Lakes State Park is a New York State Park located east of Syracuse in the Town of Manlius. The park is strikingly scenic, and has a "masterpiece" golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones very early in his career. Green Lake itself is perhaps the most studied meromictic lake – one in which layers of water do not mix – in the world. The park preserves the largest stand of old growth forest in Central New York, and Round Lake has been designated as a National Natural Landmark by the U.S.

Manlius (village), New York

Manlius is a village in Onondaga County, New York, USA. The population was 4,704 at the 2010 census. The village takes its name from its town. The Village of Manlius is near the south town line of the Town of Manlius and is southeast of the City of Syracuse of which it is a suburb. An area of about 3 blocks in size within the village, running along Seneca Street and parallel Pleasant Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Manlius Village Historic District.
