East Rochester, New York

East Rochester is a coterminous town and village located southeast of the City of Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The village, home to about 6,587 people, is bounded by Pittsford to the west and south and Perinton to the north and east. The southern boundary is delimited by New York State Route 31F, which runs parallel to but never enters East Rochester. The village line in the remaining three directions are less distinct.

The Penfield Central School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 4600 students in portions of the towns of Penfield, Brighton, Perinton and Pittsford in Monroe County, and Macedon and Walworth in Wayne County, with approximately 900 employees and an operating budget of $83 million (~$18,247 per student). The average class size is 22 for grades K–2, 24 for grades 3–5, and 25 for grades 6–12. Stephen L. Grimm is the Superintendent of Schools.

Oak Hill Country Club

Oak Hill Country Club, located in the Town of Pittsford, New York, a suburb of Rochester, has a rich history of golf. It started out in 1901 as only 9 holes on 85 acres (0.3 km²) on the banks of the Genesee River in Rochester. The clubhouse was no more than a converted farm house. However, at the time golf was a relatively new sport in America, and as popularity of the sport grew, so did the country club.

Country Club of Rochester

One of the oldest golf clubs in America, the Country Club of Rochester is a championship golf course in the Towns of Brighton and Pittsford, in suburban Rochester, New York. Members of the Genesee Valley Club founded the golf club in 1895, on a farm four miles east of downtown. The original course was of rather primitive design, reflective of the early era of golf. In 1912, the Club hired Scotsman Donald Ross to design a more modern course on the same grounds.
