Their mascot is the Knight, and the school's cross county rivals are the Lincolnview Lancers. It is included within the Van Wert Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included within the Lima-Van Wert-Wapakoneta Combined Statistical Area. Its county seat is Van Wert and is named for Isaac Van Wart, one of the captors of John André in the American Revolutionary War.
