Nyssa, Oregon

Nyssa is a city in Malheur County, Oregon, United States. The population was 3,267 at the 2010 census. The city is located along the Snake River on the Idaho border, in the region of far eastern Oregon known as the "Treasure Valley". It is part of the Ontario, OR–ID Micropolitan Statistical Area. The primary industry in the region is agriculture, including the cultivation of Russet potatoes, sugar beets, onions, corn, flower seed, mint, and wheat.

Cairo, Oregon

Cairo is an unincorporated community in Malheur County, Oregon, United States. Its elevation is 2192 feet (668 m). It is about four miles (6 km) southwest of Ontario and a half mile north of Cairo Junction, an intersection where U.S. Route 20/U.S. Route 26, running concurrently with Oregon Route 201, turn south towards Nyssa. OR 201 also continues north from Cairo Junction through Cairo and towards Ontario. Cairo was a station on the Oregon Short Line Railroad to Ontario.

Treasure Valley Community College

Treasure Valley Community College is a community college located in Ontario, Oregon, at the western edge of the Treasure Valley. It is located near the Four Rivers Cultural Center, which houses the Meyer-McLean theater used by the college to present plays and other purposes. It currently serves approximately 6,000 students a year, 900 of them full-time. TVCC was founded in 1962. Treasure Valley Community College opened in 1962 holding afternoon and evening classes at Ontario High School.
