Shaw, Oregon

Shaw is an unincorporated community in Marion County, Oregon, United States, on Oregon Route 214. Shaw was a station in the Waldo Hills between Macleay and Aumsville on the Oregonian Railway. In 1881 the station was named "Waldo Hills" but the name was changed to "Shaw" in 1891 to match the post office. Shaw post office was established in 1887 and named for Angus Shaw, the first postmaster. Shaw was from Ontario, Canada and settled in the area 1876. The post office closed in 1937.

Waldo Hills

The Waldo Hills are a range of hills in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, United States. Encompassing an area of around 50 square miles, the hills are located east of Salem. The hills are named after pioneer Daniel Waldo.

St. Boniface Church (Sublimity, Oregon)

St. Boniface Church is a historic Roman Catholic church building in Sublimity, Oregon, United States. Built in 1889 in the Carpenter Gothic style of architecture, it is a massive six-bay wooden structure with lancet stained glass windows and a steep sloping roof. The cross-adorned steeple above its front entrance reaches to a height of 110 feet above the ground. Its historic cemetery adjoins the church building on one side.
