KINI

Keni is a family name used by the Goud Saraswat Brahmins (GSB for short) of the Konkan region of India. Those who cultivated herbs were Kinvis, presently called Kini or Keni. The Keni are also found in Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka. Most of them would have their kuldevatas in Goa.
