Akard Station is a DART Light Rail station located in the City Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas on Pacific Avenue, between Akard and Field Streets. It opened on June 14, 1996, and is a station on the Red and Blue lines, serving Elm Place, One Main Place, Renaissance Tower, Thanks-Giving Square and Thanksgiving Tower.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. American Airlines Center

The American Airlines Center (commonly AAC) is a multi-purpose arena, located in the Victory Park neighborhood, near downtown Dallas, Texas. The venue serves as the home to the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association, and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League. The arena is also used for concerts and other live entertainment. It opened in 2001 at a cost of $420 million.
