Charlottesville Union Station

The Charlottesville Union Station, located in Charlottesville, Virginia, the county seat of Albemarle County, is served by Amtrak's Cardinal, Crescent, and daily Northeast Regional passenger trains. The station is within walking distance of the University of Virginia, which is the major employer in the area. The original Union Station was built in 1885 to jointly serve the Charlottesville and Rapidan Railroad, the Virginia Midland Railway, and the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway.

University of Virginia School of Architecture

The University of Virginia School of Architecture is the university's architecture school. The school confers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in architecture, landscape architecture, architectural history, and urban and environmental planning. Additionally, the school offers a certificate in historic preservation. The Ph. D program in architectural history was once maintained at the School of Architecture but has since been transferred to the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.

McIntire School of Commerce

The McIntire School of Commerce is the University of Virginia's undergraduate business school and graduate business school for Commerce, Accounting, and Management of Information Technology. It was founded in 1921 through a gift by Paul Goodloe McIntire. University of Virginia
