Frying Pan Park

Frying Pan Park is a park located in Fairfax County, Virginia. It has a variety of attractions of both a historic and recreational nature. The park contains the Frying Pan Spring Meeting House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and dating from the 18th century, and the Old Floris Schoolhouse, constructed in 1911. One of the attractions of the park is Kidwell Farm, a working demonstration farm. It recreates a 1930s farm and still has many animals including cows and horses.

Herndon (WMATA station)

Herndon (preliminary names Herndon–Monroe, Herndon – Reston West) is a planned Washington Metro station in Fairfax County, Virginia on the Silver Line. The stop would be in the median strip of VA-267 adjacent to the current Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride parking garage and bus station, which is on the south side of the highway.

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (NASM)'s annex at Washington Dulles International Airport in the Chantilly area of Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The 760,000 square feet facility was made possible by a US$65 million gift in October 1999 to the Smithsonian Institution by Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, an immigrant from Hungary and co-founder of the International Lease Finance Corporation, an aircraft leasing corporation.

Enola Gay

Enola Gay is a Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber, named for Enola Gay Tibbets, mother of the pilot, then-Colonel Paul Tibbets. On 6 August 1945, during the final stages of World War II, it became the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb on an enemy target in a war. The bomb, code-named "Little Boy", was targeted at the city of Hiroshima, Japan, and caused unprecedented destruction.
