The Battle of Sutherland's Station was an American Civil War conflict fought on April 2, 1865, in Dinwiddie, Virginia during the Appomattox Campaign. Matoaca is a census-designated place (CDP) in Chesterfield County, Virginia, United States. The population was 2,403 at the 2010 census.
