Tappahannock Municipal Airport was a town-owned public-use airport located one nautical mile (1.85 km) west of the central business district of Tappahannock, a town in Essex County, Virginia, United States. It was located south of the intersection of Route 17 & Airport Road. The airport closed in 2007, following the opening of Tappahannock-Essex County Airport.

St. Margaret's School (Virginia)

St. Margaret's School is an independent, Episcopal, all-girls school located in the town of Tappahannock, Virginia, on the banks of the Rappahannock River. The school is 45 miles northeast of the Richmond metro area, it is 100 miles southeast of the Washington metro area, also 75 miles northwest of the Hampton Roads metro area. St. Margaret's is governed by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. St. Margaret's opened in 1921 with 14 students, and now has an enrollment of 125 girls.

Piscataway Creek (Virginia)

Piscataway Creek is a tributary of the Rappahannock River in eastern Virginia, in the United States, approximately 17 miles in length. It is fed by the Sturgeon Swamp and Mussel Swamp, lowlands near US Route 360 on the Middle Peninsula, and empties into the Rappahannock River three miles (5 km) downstream from the town of Tappahannock. It is tidal for much of its course. The creek drains an area of 57.4 square miles . Its watershed is 63% forested.
