Virginia's sixth congressional district is a United States congressional district in the commonwealth of Virginia. Due to recent redistricting, the district now covers all or part of Warren, Shenandoah, Page, Rockingham, Highland, Augusta, Bath, Bedford, Rockbridge, Botetourt, Roanoke, and Amherst Counties as well as the cities of Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Lexington, Buena Vista, Lynchburg, and Roanoke. Staunton (Amtrak station)

The Staunton Amtrak station is located at 1 Middlebrook Avenue in Staunton, Virginia. The station is downtown in the Wharf Area Historic District. The station is a stop on Amtrak's Cardinal line, which runs from New York to Chicago, and has restrooms and waiting benches, but no ticket office. It serves a large area of the Shenandoah Valley. (Staunton no longer has intercity bus service. The closest Greyhound/Trailways station is 30 miles away.

American Hotel (Staunton, Virginia)

The American Hotel was a historic hotel located in Staunton, Virginia. It was built in the wharf district directly across from the railroad station. It is now painted red, and houses a business.
