Stuarts Draft High School

Stuarts Draft High School is in the community of Stuarts Draft in south-eastern Augusta County, Virginia. The school opened in 1970 during a consolidation period for the county’s public schools. Stuarts Draft High School originally served grades 8 through 12, and housed the 7th grade due to overcrowding at Stuarts Draft Elementary School (now Guy K. Stump Elementary School). Today it serves 780 students in grades 9 to 12.

Stuarts Draft, Virginia

Stuarts Draft is a census-designated place (CDP) in Augusta County, Virginia, United States. The population was 9,235 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Staunton–Waynesboro Micropolitan Statistical Area. Its been called the "Warehouse capital of the U.S. " because of the seven warehouse/factories including Target Corporation distribution (T-560), Hershey Chocolate of Virginia, McKee Little Debbie, Hollister Inc, Nibco, Ply Gem, and Sayre factory.

South River (South Fork Shenandoah River)

The South River is one of the two main tributaries of the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. It begins south of Staunton, Virginia, and flows northward to Port Republic, where it merges with the North River to form the South Fork. The river is 52.6 miles long.

Ladd, Virginia

Ladd is a small village in Virginia, United States. Ladd is located just outside the independent city of Waynesboro, Virginia and inside Augusta County. Founded in 1854, the only notable buildings of Ladd left as of 2005 are the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (built 1854), the General Store, and two homes dating to the early 1900s.

Augusta Health

Augusta Health, formerly Augusta Medical Center, is a hospital in Fishersville, Virginia. It serves Augusta County, Virginia, as well as the cities of Staunton and Waynesboro. It is located near I-64. Augusta Medical Center was formed in 1994 as a consolidation of Kings Daughters Hospital in Staunton, and Waynesboro Community Hospital in Waynesboro. Augusta Medical Center changed its name to Augusta Health in June 2009. The campus went tobacco-free in 2009.
