Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) provides libraries for residents of Whatcom County, Washington. It maintains nine library branches and a bookmobile, and is separate from the Bellingham Public Library system. The current director of Whatcom County Library System is Joan Airoldi.

Meridian High School (Washington)

Meridian High School is a public secondary school located in the little North-Whatcom community Laurel, Washington (north of Bellingham). During the 2010-2011 school year, official enrollment was documented at 467 students in grades 9-12. It is currently the only high school in the Meridian School District. The school's Principal since spring 2011 has been James Everett. He succeeded seven-year veteran principal David Shockley, who left to join the district office.
