Olympic Hot Springs Trail

The Olympic Hot Springs Trail is located in Olympic National Park. The trail is accessed by traveling United States Route 101 west from Port Angeles, Washington, and turning south on Olympic Hot Springs Road. The trail is about 2.5 miles long and elevations start at 1800 and continue to 2,061 feet . At the end of the trail are Olympic Hot Springs and a few camping sites.

Boulder Lake

Boulder Lake is located in the Olympic National Park in Washington. It is accessible by the Olympic Hot Springs Trail and the Appleton Pass trail. The hike is about 12 miles round trip and has about a 2,500-foot elevation gain. At the lake there are a few camp sites and a bear wire to hang food. The lake lies at the base of Boulder Peak.

Sol Duc River

The Sol Duc River (also spelled Soleduck) is a river in the U.S. state of Washington. About 78 miles long, it flows west through the northwest part of the Olympic Peninsula, from the Olympic Mountains of Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, then through the broad Sol Duc Valley. Near the Pacific Ocean the Sol Duc River joins the Bogachiel River, forming the Quillayute River, which flows about 4 miles to the Pacific Ocean at La Push.

Lake Mills (Washington)

Lake Mills was a reservoir formed by the Glines Canyon Dam on the Elwha River, and was located about 13 miles from the mouth of the river on the Olympic Peninsula. It was fully contained within Olympic National Park. It was formed in 1927 with the completion of the dam and after the lowland forest that occupied the river bottom was clear-cut.
