McMillin Bridge

The McMillin Bridge (also known as the Puyallup River Bridge) is a concrete half-through truss bridge crossing the Puyallup River, in Pierce County, Washington, built in 1934. The bridge is signed as part of State Route 162. The main span of the bridge is 170 feet long, which was the longest beam span or concrete truss in the US when it was built. The bridge design uses a hollow-box system, which was suggested to the design company of W. H. Witt Company by Homer M. Hadley.

Cascadia, Washington

Cascadia is a proposed master-planned community to the south of Bonney Lake in Pierce County, Washington, United States. Construction began in 2005 with an estimated timeline for completion of 20 years. Included in the plans were 6,500 homes, a commercial district, industrial park, schools, as well as parks and open space for residents to enjoy. Construction halted in 2008, prior to the construction of any homes or commercial properties.

Emerald Ridge High School

Emerald Ridge High School is a high school in the Puyallup School District of Washington, United States and is commonly referred to as ERHS or simply ER. Emerald Ridge opened in September 2000. It features green, black and silver as its primary colors and has a jaguar as its official mascot. The enrollment is currently just above 1,600 In the 2008-2009 school year, 10th graders showed 90.1% competency in Reading, 55% in Math, 97.7% in Writing and 44.4% in Science.
