For most of its history, the hotel was owned by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway and its successors, including the CSX Corporation. Greenbrier Classic
The Greenbrier Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, played on The Old White TPC at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. It made its debut in 2010 and replaced the long-standing Buick Open in Flint, Michigan on the tour schedule. Opened in 1914, The Old White course joined the TPC network of courses in March 2011. It was extended to 7,274 yards in 2012 at an average elevation of approximately 1,850 feet above sea level.
