Rames, is an attorney based on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Jonathan Cohen, the co-owner of the station, is a professional broadcaster and is the principal owner of JKC Communications, Inc. WSVI is an ABC-affiliated, full-power television station in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands transmitting over digital channel 8.1. The station is owned by Atlas News and Information Services. WSVI has a satellite, WZVI channel 43, in Charlotte Amalie, as well as an analog translator, WFIG-LP channel 5. The station signs off after Jimmy Kimmel Live! nightly at 2:05am AST and does not air overnight programming over their broadcast signal.

WVIF

WVIF was a full-power television station in Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands licensed to transmit over analog channel 15. The station was owned by Corporate Media Consultants Group (CMCG), which is 49 percent owned by Max Media. For much of its history, WVIF was silent, occasionally returning to the air as an independent station. At one time, it had planned to affiliate with the Fox network.

WMYP

WMYP is a radio station licensed to serve Frederiksted, U. S. Virgin Islands. The station is owned by Amanda Friedman. It airs a Spanish/Tropical/Variety format. The Federal Communications Commission assigned the WPPD call letters to this station on April 27, 1998. This call sign was short-lived as the station switched to WREY on March 1, 1999 then switched again to the current WMYP call letters on December 3, 1999.

ALM Flight 980

ALM Flight 980 was a flight scheduled to fly from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, New York to Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, on 2 May 1970. After several unsuccessful landing attempts, the aircraft's fuel was exhausted and it made a forced water landing (ditching) in the Caribbean Sea 48 km (30 mi) off St. Croix, with 23 fatalities and 40 survivors.
