Shkumbin

Shkumbin is a river in central Albania, flowing into the Adriatic Sea. It is considered the dividing line for the two dialects of the Albanian language: Tosk (to the south) and Gheg (to the north). On various historical periods the river was considered the northernmost natural boundary of the geographic region of Epirus. while during the 5th-6th centuries Shkumbin was the cultural border between the Illyrian and the Greek world. The river is 181 km long.

Lushnjë District

The District of Lushnjë (Albanian: Rrethi i Lushnjës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Fier County. It has a population of 143,276 (2010 estimate), and an area of 712 km². It is in the west of the country and 80 km south of Tirana. Its capital is Lushnjë. Besa Stadium

Besa Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kavajë, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KS Besa Kavajë. The stadium has a capacity of 9,000 people.

Lushnjë

Lushnjë or Lushnje is a city in Central-West Albania located at 40.95°N, 19.71°E. It is the center of the District of Lushnje in the County of Fier and has a population of about 54,813. The town was founded in late medieval times by a Turkish widow called Salushe. She built a rest stop on the road from Durrës to Berat, giving birth to the town. As of 2000, old men still called the town Salushe.
