Benito Juárez is a partido in the south-central part of Buenos Aires Province in Argentina. The provincial subdivision has a population of 20,402 inhabitants in an area of 5,285 km² (2,041 sq mi), and its capital city is Benito Juárez. Around 14,000 of its inhabitants live in the capital town, 3,200 in the towns of Barker and Villa Cacique, and the rest in smaller villages and rural areas. Laguna de los Padres

Laguna de los Padres is a small lake located about eight miles west of Mar del Plata, Argentina and roughly one mile east of Sierra de los Padres' hills. The name of the lake as well as of the hills nearby has its origins in the Jesuit Fathers (Padres) attempting to evangelize the region in the 17th century. The lake has a length of 2,055 mt (6,884 feet) and a width of 1,701 mt (5,670 feet).

Mar Chiquita

For the saline lake in Córdoba Province, see Mar Chiquita, Córdoba Mar Chiquita is a lagoon in the southeast province of Buenos Aires in eastern Argentina. It is located by the Atlantic coast, 30 km north of Mar del Plata. The area is a natural reserve where a number of animal species live around the lagoon.

GADA 601

The 601st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Group (GAA 601 or Grupo de Artillería Antiaérea 601), historically known as GADA 601 (Grupo de Artillería de Defensa Aérea 601) is the main anti-aircraft artillery unit of the Argentine Army. Its headquarters are based just north of Mar del Plata. The unit's name was changed to GAA 601 Teniente General Pablo Ricchieri in 1999. The group played a key role during the 1982 Falklands War. The GAA 601 compound is the main air defence training center in Argentina.

Sierra de los Padres

Sierra de los Padres is a string of rocky hills and ridges about 10 miles west of Mar del Plata. They are part of the Tandilia's mountain range, actually a series of low hills extended from the central Buenos Aires Province to Cabo Corrientes, a cape on the shores of Mar del Plata. These peaks are barely 270 mt (900 feet) high, surrounded by farms in the lower lands and by an exclusive neighborhood built on their slopes. Most local landscapes have panoramic views of surrounding hills.
