Amboy (Córdoba)

Amboy is a village and commune in the Calamuchita Department in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. It is located 115 km from the provincial capital in the Sierras de Córdoba region, 20 miles from Santa Rosa de Calamuchita, by Provincial Routes RP 5 and RP 23. It is located 602 meters above sea level and is crossed by the Amboy stream. It has a population of approximately 400 inhabitants (168 inhabitants according to the 2001 census). The village is sparsely populated with 26 per mile.

Los Molinos Dam

The Los Molinos Dam (in Spanish, Dique Los Molinos) is a dam over the course of the Los Molinos River in the center-west of the province of Córdoba, Argentina, at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:31|50|S|64|32|W||| | |name= }}, about 769 m above mean sea level. The dam gathers the flow of a 980 km² catchment basin. Its wall is 60 m high and 240 m long. The reservoir has a surface area of 24.5 km² and a volume of 399 million m³; the maximum depth of the water is 57 m.

Embalse Nuclear Power Station

The Embalse Nuclear Power Station (Spanish: Central Nuclear Embalse) is one of the two operational nuclear power plants in Argentina. It is located on the southern shore of a reservoir on the Río Tercero, near the city of Embalse, Córdoba, 110 km south-southwest of Córdoba City. The plant is a CANDU Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR). It employs natural uranium (that is, with 0.72% of U), and uses heavy water for cooling and neutron moderation.

Segundo River

The Segundo River, also known as Xanaes, is a river in the center-north of the province of Córdoba, Argentina. It is born in the Paravachasca Valley at the confluence of the Los Molinos and Anizacate rivers, on the eastern slopes of the Cumbres de Achala (Sierras Grandes), about 2,000 m above mean sea level. It flows west–east and its course forms a reservoir at the Los Molinos Dam, which is employed to generate hydroelectricity.
