Kenebri, New South Wales

Kenebri is a locality in northern New South Wales, Australia. Kenebri is located between Baradine and Gwabegar on the road from Coonabarabran. The Gwabegar railway line reached Kenebri in 1923 and a station and siding were opened. Kenebri was the source of rail sleepers. Kenebri Post Office opened on 1 March 1929 and closed in 1984. The Gwabegar line was closed north of Binnaway in 2005. Kenebri station was located 564 railway kilometres from Sydney.

Gwabegar, New South Wales

Gwabegar, (pronounced Wob-ee-gar) New South Wales, Australia, is a village located in the middle of the largest naturally forming cypress pine forest in the Southern Hemisphere, the Pilliga State Forest. At the 2006 census, Gwabegar had a population of 242 people. The timber industry was once the mainstay of the town with twelve sawmills operating, but they have been closed, leaving farming as the main source of income.

Baradine, New South Wales

Baradine is a small town in northern New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Baradine had a population of 593. Baradine is located on the Coonabarabran-Pilliga road, about midway between Coonabarabran and Pilliga. It is adjacent to Baradine Creek which flows intermittently northwards from the Warrumbungles.
