Monkerai is a large rural area located in the hills in the land between Dungog and Gloucester in Great Lakes Council, in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia. Monkerai is traditionally timber and dairy country but in previous years has become grazing country. Monkerai boasts the following attractions - a public hall and a historic bridge. It is surrounded by state forests and national parks.

Black Bulga State Conservation Area

Black Bulga State Conservation Area is located near the Barrington Tops, 16 km from Dungog in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. An area of 1,554 hectares . Previously part of Trevor State Forest and Chichester State Forest. Flora includes wet sclerophyll eucalyptus forest. This area was logged for trees such as Sydney Blue Gum, Tallowwood, White Mahogany and Spotted Gum.

Nooroo, New South Wales

Nooroo is a locality in northern New South Wales, Australia, northwest of the town of Stroud. A railway station on the North Coast railway line served the locality between 1913 and 1975.

Stroud Road railway station

Stroud Road was a railway station on the North Coast railway line in New South Wales, Australia. It was originally opened in 1913 to serve the town of Stroud, which was some distance away, as this was as near as the railway could get at an affordable cost. Stroud Road eventually grew into a small town in its own right.
