Antil Plains Aerodrome

Antil Plains Aerodrome was an aerodrome located 19.38 kilometres south of Townsville, Queensland, Australia near Antill Plains. The aerodrome was constructed in 1942, during World War II, for the Royal Australian Air Force as part of a group of airfields to be used as aircraft dispersal fields in the event of Imperial Japanese attack on the Townsville area. It was leased to the United States Army Air Forces. The aerodrome had two runways, one running east-west and the other NE-SW.

Townsville Correctional Centre

Townsville Correctional Centre is an Australian prison facility in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The facility is more commonly known as "Stuart Prison", "Stewart's Creek Penal Establishment", "H.M. Prison Townsville", and now known as "Townsville Correctional Complex. " It was the only correctional centre in Queensland to hold mainstream males, females and protection prisoners within the same secure perimeter.

Wulguru, Queensland

Wulguru is a suburb of Townsville, Queensland. The bushy hills in some areas provide panoramic views of Townsville and Magnetic Island. Most of the area is owned by the Australian Army and is fenced off. The suburb has a population of 4.450. "Wulguru" is the name of an extinct Aboriginal language and it is claimed that the word itself means "windy valley".
