Mount Archer National Park

Mount Archer is a national park in Central Queensland, Australia, 522 km northwest of Brisbane. It makes up the backdrop to the city of Rockhampton which marks the start of Tropical Queensland. The vegetation is mostly open Eucalypt woodland with patches of vine scrub. The Rufous Shrikethrush, White-browed Scrubwren, Powerful Owl and Glossy Black Cockatoo are some of the bird species found in the park.

Frenchville, Queensland

Frenchville is a suburb of Rockhampton in Queensland, Australia. Situated at the base of the Berserker Range about seven kilometres to the north of the Fitzroy River, the district was named for Anthelme Thozet, first director of the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens in the 1860s. Frenchman's Creek which runs through the area was also named for Thozet. At the 2006 census, Frenchville had a population of 8,927.
