Serviceton, Victoria

Serviceton is a small town in Victoria, Australia, located near the Victorian-South Australian border, 437 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The town was named after James Service, Premier of Victoria in 1880 and from 1883-86. At the 2011 census, Serviceton and the surrounding area had a population of 270. When the Victorian and South Australian railways were joined at the old border in 1887, a station was built on the border.

Wolseley, South Australia

Wolseley is a small South Australian town near the Victorian border. It is five kilometres south of the Dukes Highway and 13 kilometres east of Bordertown. It was first proclaimed a town in 1884. A broad (1600 mm) gauge railway was opened to Adelaide and Melbourne in 1886. Some years later the Millicent - Mount Gambier narrow (1067 mm) gauge railway was extended to Wolseley, creating a break-of-gauge rail junction.

Clayton Farm Heritage Museum

Clayton Farm Heritage Museum is the former home of the Wiese family located off Naracoorte Road on the outskirts of Bordertown, South Australia. It consists of a group of historical thatched buildings and sheds, including the largest thatched structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The historic farm homestead dates back to 1885 with a woolshed dating back to 1901.

Bordertown High School

Bordertown High School is a high school in Bordertown, South Australia, Australia in the Tatiara District Council. On 26 September 2008, in the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, eight schools participated in the big Rock Eisteddfod Grand Final. Bordertown High School placed second in this contest.

Tatiara District Council

Tatiara District Council is a local government area located in eastern South Australia, about 100 km north of the Limestone Coast. The name Tatiara is said to mean "the good country", a phrase which dates back to the area's first inhabitants. It is also one of the largest local government areas in South Australia at 6476 km². The district's economy is based primarily on agriculture, with cereal crops such as wheat, barley and oats and with livestock such as sheep, cattle and pigs prominent.
