Mangalore, Tasmania

Mangalore is a small town in southern Tasmania, Australia between the townships of Bagdad and Brighton. It is on the Midland Highway 32 km from the capital city of Hobart. At the 2006 census, Mangalore had a population of 983. It is named after the city of the same name in the Indian state of Karnataka. Mangalore Post Office opened on 1 August 1891 and closed in 1969.

Brighton Transport Hub

The Brighton Transport Hub is a $79 million Intermodal Transport hub currently under construction in conjunction with the Brighton Bypass on the northern fringes of Hobart, in southern Tasmania. The Bridgewater Industrial Estate was chosen as the preferred site of the Inland port because of its close proximity with the Midland Highway and the southern Railway line of the state.

Zoodoo Wildlife Park

Zoodoo Wildlife Park is a wildlife park about 6 kilometres from Richmond, Tasmania in Australia. It is spread over 90 hectares . Originally an Ostrich farm and miniature pony stud, Zoodoo first opened to the public on 2 July 1999 with just a few native animals. It has grown quickly to become one of the Tasmania's largest wildlife parks and today boasts Bengal Tigers and African lions among many other native and foreign species of animals and birds.
