Mount Arthur (Tasmania)

Mount Arthur is a mountain in the north of Tasmania. It is north-east of Launceston, near the town of Lilydale. Due to its close proximity to Launceston its summit is home to a large number of radio towers. WayFM (105.3 and 98.1), Launceston, and Northern Tasmania's Christian community radio station, have their tower on Mount Arthur.

Mount Barrow

Mount Barrow is a mountain located 46 kilometres north east of Launceston, Tasmania. The mountain habitat is a mixture of temperate old growth rainforest, subalpine and alpine landscapes. It is the closest alpine mountain to Launceston and the plateau extends to 3 kilometres and reaches a maximum altitude of 1,413 metres above sea level, making it the second highest peak in eastern Tasmania.

City of Launceston

The City of Launceston is a local government area of Tasmania, encompassing about half of the greater Launceston area in northern Tasmania. It also includes a region to the north east of Launceston, encompassing towns such as Lilydale. The population residing in this area, 67,190, is the highest of any Local Government Area in Tasmania. This area is governed by the Launceston City Council, led by a mayor and eleven other aldermen.

Lilydale, Tasmania

Lilydale, originally known as Upper Piper, is a small town in northern Tasmania, Australia. The town is 28 kilometres northeast of Launceston and is a part of the Launceston municipality. It is located near Mount Arthur. At the 2006 census, Lilydale had a population of 288. The town's notable attractions include the Lilydale Falls, two small waterfalls, Mount Arthur, and, along the main street, a series of telegraph poles painted with murals.
