Triabunna, Tasmania

Triabunna is the largest township on the east coast of Tasmania, is the civic and municipal heart of the Glamorgan Spring Bay Council, and is 84 kilometres to the north-east of the state capital Hobart. It is a coastal town on the Tasman Highway, and is sheltered within Spring Bay at the mouth of MacCleans Creek and Vickerys Rivulet. The nearest township is Orford, 6 kilometres to the south on the far side of the bay. At the 2006 census, Triabunna had a population of 796.

Orford, Tasmania

Orford is a village on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia 73 kilometres north-east of Hobart. The village is centred around the mouth of the Prosser River, on the southern margin of a substantial coastal inlet called Prosser Bay. Beyond this bay are the waters of the Mercury Passage. At the 2006 census, Orford had a population of 553.

Ile du Nord

Ile du Nord is a small granite island, with an area of about 10 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of the Maria Island Group, lying close to the eastern coast of Tasmania near the Freycinet Peninsula. It is close to the northernmost point of Maria Island and is part of the Maria Island National Park.

Buckland Military Training Area

The Buckland Military Training Area (BMTA) is a small arms and manoeuvre range, located 76 kilometres from Hobart, Tasmania. The training area is the largest and most used training area in Tasmania. The range covers 23,428 hectares and has a 400-man camp and a Range Complex, which includes a standard grenade range, three sneaker ranges, a snap gallery range, six tactical fire and manoeuvre training areas and a marksmanship training range.
