Parwan railway station

Parwan is a closed station located near the town of Bacchus Marsh, on the Ararat railway line in Victoria, Australia. The station platform was on the southern side of the line. Today Parwan is a crossing loop, permitting trains up to 969 metres long to cross. Opened soon after the line through it opened in 1886 as a crossing loop in the single track section, by 1890 Parwan had a platform, goods shed, a 20-lever interlocked signal box and a three road yard.

Balliang, Victoria

Balliang is a locality in Victoria, Australia. The locality is in the south-east of the Shire of Moorabool, north of the City of Greater Geelong and 54 kilometres from the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Balliang had a population of 233. The locality was named for a house in Geelong owned by Foster Fyans, which was in turn named for Balliang (or Ballyang), who was an Aboriginal leader employed by Fyans. Balliang Post Office opened on 23 June 1910 and closed in 1968.

Rowsley, Victoria

Rowsley is a rural locality in Victoria, Australia. The locality is approximately 50 kilometres south of Melbourne in the Shire of Moorabool local government area. The locality is mostly farmland and has a camp-site operated by YMCA. The camp-site is named Lady Northcote Recreational Camp and serves many schools with a range of activities. The post office there opened on 12 May 1890, closed on 30 April 1962, reopened on the 1 January 1946 and was closed in 1950.
