Interesting facts about this location

Barmah

Barmah is a town in Victoria, with the distinction of being located north of the southerly border with New South Wales. At the 2006 census, Barmah had a population of 201. The border between the two states is the mostly westward-flowing Murray River. Just downstream of Barmah, the Murray winds south, then east far enough to put a small point of New South Wales directly south of Barmah before resuming its generally westwards course. Barmah is near the largest River Red Gum forest in the world.

Cummeragunja Reserve

Cummeragunja Reserve or Cummeragunja Station, was an Australian Aboriginal reserve established in 1881 on the New South Wales side of the Murray River, on the Victorian border near Barmah. The people were mostly Yorta Yorta. Many of the original residents moved there from Maloga Mission, 3 miles away, where they had grown tired of the strict religious lifestyle. Maloga Mission had been established in 1874 by Daniel and Janet Matthews .

Lower Moira

Lower Moira is a locality in northern Victoria, Australia. The locality is in the south-west part of Shire of Moira. Lower Moira is mostly farmland. To the west is the New South Wales border. The post office there opened in 1902, closed in 1930, reopened on 12 September 1938, and closed on 19 February 1953.

Bayside Church

The Bayside Church is an Australian Pentecostal church and is affiliated with the C3 Church movement. The church is based in the Melbourne Bayside suburbs of Cheltenham and Frankston. The church’s senior pastors are Rob and Christie Buckingham. The Church started in 1992 and over 2,100 people attend services each week. Whilst the headquarters of Bayside Church is at the Bayside Centre in Cheltenham, the church is multi-location, with a congregation in Frankston also.
