Howqua River

The Howqua River is a river in south-eastern Australia. It originates on the slopes of Mount Howitt before flowing through the Alpine National Park in Victoria. It empties into Lake Eildon on the Goulburn River, itself a tributary of the Murray River which drains into the ocean in South Australia.

Delatite River

The Delatite River is a tributary of the Goulburn River in Australia. The river rises between the ski resort mountains of Mount Stirling and Mount Buller on the Western edge of the Victorian Alps. Flowing generally westwards, it passes the town of Merrijig before reaching Lake Eildon, an impoundment of the Goulburn River. Named after Delotite, wife of the local indigeous leader Beolite, the leader of the yowung-illum-baluks of the Taungurung people.

Lake Eildon

Lake Eildon is the impoundment created by Eildon Weir on the Goulburn River in southern Victoria, Australia. At 3,334,158 megalitres when full, it contains six times as much water as Sydney Harbour and is the second largest water storage in Victoria after Dartmouth Dam. It is located at the town of Eildon, within Lake Eildon National Park. Lake Eildon is connected to the state capital's metropolitan water supply via a pipeline from the Goulburn River.

Jamieson, Victoria

Jamieson is a small town in Victoria, Australia. It is located at the junction of the Goulburn River and Jamieson River, 199 kilometres north-east of Melbourne. The name is believed to have been derived from George Jamieson, a shepherd who grazed sheep in the area in the 1850s. At the time of the 2006 census, Jamieson had a population of 259. The area was first settled in 1860 and by 1861 there were approximately 300 people working the goldfields. The Post Office opened on 18 January 1858.

Eildon, Victoria

Eildon is a town in Victoria, Australia. It is located near Lake Eildon, on the Goulburn Valley Highway, in the Shire of Murrindindi local government area. At the 2006 Census, Eildon had a population of 1186.
