Timboon

Timboon is a town in the Western District of Victoria, Australia. The town is in the Shire of Corangamite local government area, approximately 213 kilometres south-west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2001 census, Timboon had a population of 787. At the 2006 census, Timboon had a population of 871. The main industries are dairying, forestry, and the production of lime.

County of Heytesbury

The County of Heytesbury is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. The County is in the Western District of Victoria bounded by the Gellibrand River in the east and the Hopkins River in the west. In the north the County was bounded approximately by the existing road, now the Princes Highway. Larger towns include Camperdown and Cobden. The County was proclaimed in 1849.

Lake Bullen Merri

Lake Bullen Merri is a brackish crater lake near Camperdown in Victoria, Australia. It has a maximum depth of 66 metres, with a clover leaf outline indicating that it was probably formed by two overlapping maar volcanoes. The lake is depicted in beautiful work by Eugene von Guerard. The edge of the lake was marked by a stone in the late 1800s by James Dawson (activist); from this and von Guerard's painting it is obvious that the level of the lake has dropped considerably in the last 100 years.
