Hepburn Wind Project

The Hepburn Wind Project is a wind farm built and owned by Hepburn Wind, a community co-operative, and supported by the Victorian Government. The location of the project is Leonards Hill, 10 km south of Daylesford, Victoria, north-west of Melbourne, Victoria. It comprises two individual 2.05 MW wind turbines supplied by REpower System AG which are projected to produce enough energy for 2,300 households, almost as many houses are in the twin-towns of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.

Eganstown, Victoria

Eganstown is a town located in the Shire of Hepburn, Victoria, Australia. At the 2005 census, Eganstown and the surrounding area had a population of 432. West of Daylesford, Victoria on the Midland Highway. Until 1872 called Blanket Flat, the town takes its name from John Egan who secured a lease of land here in 1848. The land had originally been taken up by J.W. Berry in 1840. The area contains the Deep Creek Mineral Spring and Corinella Spring.

Blampied, Victoria

Blampied is a town in the central highlands of Victoria on the Midland Highway. The town is in the Shire of Hepburn, 117 kilometres north west of the state capital of Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Blampied and the surrounding area had a population of 930. The town was named after Louis Blampied who built a hotel here which is now called the Swiss Mountain Inn. Blampied Post Office opened on 20 November 1879 and closed in 1971.

Musk railway station

Musk railway station is a railway station at the locality of Musk in central Victoria, Australia. It was opened in September 1881 under the name of Musk Creek and its name was shortened to Musk in 1905. The line closed on Monday, 3 July 1978.
