At the 2011 census, Streatham had a population of 298. Streatham is one of the earliest settlements established in the area covered by the current-day Rural City of Ararat Council. Lake Bolac stone arrangement
The Lake Bolac stone arrangement is an Aboriginal ceremonial site near the town of Lake Bolac in the Western District north-east of Hamilton, Victoria. At some stage, some of the stones were removed to make way for a road (now the Glenelg Highway to Adelaide). One indigenous view is that this is when things started going wrong. The basalt stones are arranged in two lines and are said to resemble a giant eel.
