Gellibrand, Victoria

Gellibrand is a town in south west Victoria, Australia. The town is located in the Otway Ranges midway between the Princes Highway and Great Ocean Road in the Colac Otway Shire, 176 kilometres south west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2011 census, Gellibrand had a population of 383. Gellibrand was named after Joseph Gellibrand, the first attorney-general of Van Diemen's Land and an early European settler in Victoria.

Barwon Downs

Barwon Downs is a town in Victoria, Australia. The town is located in the foothills of the Otway Ranges, 151 kilometres south west of the state capital, Melbourne. The township was proclaimed on 10 May 1910. At the 2006 census, Barwon Downs had a population of 167. The main industries in the area are agriculture, forestry and tourism. The town has a general store, tennis courts and public hall. Barwon Downs also has a local Country Fire Authority (CFA) with members from the local community.

Old Beechy Rail Trail

The Old Beechy Rail Trail is a 45–kilometre rail trail running from Colac to Beech Forest along to the route of the disused Crowes railway line. The historic "Beechy" train ran on this line from 1902 to 1962. The trail includes approximately 30 kilometres of dedicated rail trail, with the rest being on-road. The first section was opened in July 2005.

Kennett River

The Kennett River is a river in southwestern Victoria, Australia. It arises in the Otway Ranges and enters Bass Strait to the east of Cape Otway through the locality of the same name. It was named by surveyor George Smythe after the River Kennet in Berkshire, England.
