Clackline, Western Australia

Clackline is a locality in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 80 kilometres east-north-east of Perth. John Forrest, later Premier of Western Australia, recorded the name in 1879 but the origin of the word is unknown. A settlement was established in the 1880s, being at the junction of the Perth-Newcastle Road and the was township gazetted in 1896. It has also been known as Clackline Junction for the road and the rail junction.

Toodyay Community Radio

Jukebox Radio (6TJR) is the Callsign for Toodyay Community Radio. It is a community radio station broadcasting to Toodyay and the surrounding Wheatbelt area of Western Australia from studios in the suburb of Toodyay, Western Australia. Its format is general music from the 1950s onwards, drama plays, comedy series documentaries and children's interests. Bakers Hill, Western Australia

Bakers Hill is a town 73 kilometres east of Perth, Western Australia on the Great Eastern Highway. The town is located within the Shire of Northam, between Wundowie and Clackline. At the 2011 census, Bakers Hill had a population of 1,147.

Spencers Brook, Western Australia

Spencers Brook is a district in Western Australia located between the towns of Northam and York, about 95 kilometres east of the state capital, Perth. At the 2006 census, Spencers Brook had a population of 195. It was an important junction point on the Eastern Railway. It was opened in 1886 as a stage of the Chidlow to Northam railway. It was operating as a stopping place from 1888 at 50 miles 44 chains (81.35 km) from Perth.

Windmill Hill Cutting

Windmill Hill Cutting is a large cutting on the dual gauge railway east of Toodyay in Western Australia. The cutting was constructed between 1963 and 1964 for the Eastern Railway route through the Avon Valley. The route became operational in February 1966. A lookout and picnic area were developed at the site giving tourists a view from the top of the cutting. A plaque at the lookout reads: Windmill Hill Cutting Deepest cutting on the standard gauge railway and one of the deepest in Australia.
