Gaming Charterhouse

Gaming Charterhouse (German: Kartause Gaming, also known as Kartause Maria Thron) is a former Carthusian monastery in Gaming near Scheibbs in the Mostviertel of Lower Austria. The monastery was founded in 1330 by Albert II, Duke of Austria, who intended it as a dynastic burial place. He himself was buried there after his death in 1358, as was his wife Johanna von Pfirt (d. 1351) and daughter-in-law Elisabeth of Bohemia (d. 1373).

Mariazell Basilica

The Mariazell Basilica (also the Basilica Mariä Geburt or in English the Basilica of the Birth of the Virgin Mary) is a Marian basilica in Mariazell, Austria. It is the most important pilgrimage destination in Austria and one of the most visited shrines in Europe. In the church, a miraculous wooden image of the Virgin Mary is honored.

Ybbs

Ybbs is a river in Lower Austria, and in Austria also the common short form to designate the little town Ybbs an der Donau. Its source is located on the Zellerrain Pass near Mariazell. The river is called the Weiße Ois in the beginning, then onwards from the border between Lower Austria and Styria to Lunz am See it is called the Ois, and from there until it meets the Danube at Ybbs an der Donau, it is called the Ybbs.
