Gazaria Upazila
Gazaria is one of the Six Upazila of Munshiganj District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is 28 kilometer away from the Capital Dhaka and bounded by Sonargaon and Homna upazilas on the north, Matlab upazila on the south, Daudkandi upazila on the east, Munshiganj sadar upazila and Sonargaon upazilas and the Meghna river on the west. Maghbazar is the name of a neighborhood in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located near the neighborhoods of Tejgaon, Ramna and Malibagh. Its origins date back to the Mughal Empire. The word Mogh refers to people from Arakan Burma and Bazar means market. Historically, a group of Mogh people settled in the area during Mughal time. At that time it was well outside Dhaka town and marshy land. Water body east and north of Moghbazar is known as Hatirjheel mean elephant's lake.
