Bangladesh Military Academy
Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) is the training institute for the officer cadets of Bangladesh Army. It is located in Bhatiary, near Chittagong HIll Tracts, in the Chittagong District of south-east Bangladesh, about 13 kilometres north of Chittagong. The Academy is situated on the slopes of the Sitakunda hill ranges and the shore of the Bay of Bengal. Its total capacity is 20,000. On a historical note, this stadium was used as headquarters during the war for independence in 1971. The main cricket venue of the port city has been shifted to the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

It became a Test cricket venue on February 27, 2006 when it hosted a Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It hosted two group matches during the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
