Onzelievehereboom was the name of a 1200-year old oak tree in Kortessem, Belgium, dedicated by popular piety to Onze Lieve Here, "Our Dear Lord". Virga Jesse Basilica

The Virga-Jesse Basilica in Hasselt, Belgium, stands where a member of the Fraternity of Our Lady built the Clerkenkapel in 1334. This first building was replaced by a church in late Baroque and early Classical Revival style in 1727. The second building was severely damaged by a V1 rocket in 1944, an attack which killed sixteen people. The rebuilt church was opened in 1951, and elevated to the status of basilica in 1998.

Roman Catholic Diocese of Hasselt

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Hasselt, is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in Belgium. Comprising the whole of Belgian Limburg, the diocese was created in 1967, split from the Diocese of Liège. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels. Its see is Saint Quentin's Cathedral, Hasselt.

Rullingen Castle

Rullingen Castle (German: Kasteel van Rullingen) is a castle in Kuttekoven in the municipality of Borgloon, province of Limburg, Belgium. Its situation in the valley of the Herk is very scenic. The first recorded lord of Rullingen was Eggebert van Ruelingen, a vassal of Arnold II, Count of Loon (d 1138 or -39). The medieval castle was reconstructed, probably in the 1630s, as a typical moated castle of the Meuse valley, although the moat has been filled up in more recent times.

Zepperen

Zepperen, a formerly independent municipality, is now part of the city of Sint-Truiden in the province of Limburg in Belgium. This village developed in the northern, humid part of Haspengouw close to the stream Melsterbeek. This rivulet starts about 15 kilometers to the south near the border between Flanders and Wallonia and merges with the river Gete near Geetbets.
