Salm (Amblève)

For a river in Germany, tributary to the Moselle, see Salm (Moselle). The Salm is a river in eastern Belgium, left tributary to the river Amblève. Its source is in the Ardennes, close to the border with Luxembourg near Bovigny. The Salm flows through the municipalities Gouvy, Vielsalm and Trois-Ponts, where it joins the river Amblève. It was also fought over in World War II. The 106th Golden Lions Division of the United States Army held the river until overrun by the Germans.

Huldange

Huldange is a small town in the commune of Troisvierges, in far northern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 353. Nearby is the source of the Clerve.

Buurgplaatz

Buurgplaatz is a hill in the commune of Troisvierges, in northern Luxembourg. The 559 metre high summit lies within the Oesling region at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:50.1615|6.0281|type:landmark_region:LU|||||| |primary |name= }}. It is often erroneously considered the highest point in Luxembourg (so much so that there is a plaque on the summit celebrating as such). Actually, it is the second highest, after Kneiff (560 m).

Basbellain

Basbellain is a village in the commune of Troisvierges, in northern Luxembourg. As of 2001, the village had a population of 152. Basbellain gave its name to the commune of Troisvierges from 1795 until 1 January 1909, when the commune was given its current name, after its largest town.
