Salinas de Garci Mendoza

Salinas de Garci Mendoza is a town in the Bolivian Oruro Department. Salinas de Garci Mendoza is the administrative center of Ladislao Cabrera Province and is located 280 km south-west of Oruro, the department capital. It is situated at an elevation of 3,732 m at Cerro Caricha, 20 km north of the stratovolcano Tunupa. Salar de Coipasa salt lake is 20 km north-west of Salinas de Garci Mendoza, and 15 km in south-eastern direction is Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt pan.

Paruma

Paruma is a stratovolcano that lies on the border of Bolivia and Chile. It is part of a ridge that contains several stratovolcanos. Paruma lies at the eastern end of the ridge, with Olca to its west. The older volcano Cerro Paruma lies to east of Paruma. Paruma has clearly been active during the Holocene, with many morphologically young lava flows on its flanks. It also has persistent fumaroles. One lava flow in particular extends for 7 kilometres to the south-east of the peak.

Michincha

Michincha is a stratovolcano on the border of Bolivia and Chile. It is part of an east-west trending ridge of stratovolcanoes. To its east lies Olca. The only historical activity from the complex was a flank eruption from 1865-1867.
