Divisa Alegre is a Brazilian municipality located in the northeast of the state of Minas Gerais. As of 2007 the population was 5,793 in a total area of 118 km². The city belongs to the mesoregion of Jequitinhonha and to the microregion of Salinas. The elevation of the municipal seat is 975 meters. It became a municipality in 1997 separating from Águas Vermelhas This municipality is located on the important BR-116 highway on the boundary with the state of Bahia.

Águas Vermelhas is a city in the northeast of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. In 2007 its population was estimated to be 12,674 in a total area of 1,258 km². The city belongs to the mesoregion of Jequitinhonha and to the microregion of Salinas. The elevation of the municipal seat is 758 meters. It became a municipality in 1962. This municipality is located on the Rio Mosquito and is 13 km. west of the important BR-116 highway. It forms a boundary with the state of Bahia.
