Targovishte Airport
Targovishte Airport, also known Buhovtsi Airfield, is located near the village of Buhovtsi, 13 km from the city of Targovishte. Its unique location gives a chance for service of an area covering three regions including Targovishte, Shumen and Razgrad Provinces. Preslav Treasure
The Preslav Treasure was found in autumn of 1978 at the vineyard in Castana, 3 km to the north - west of the second Bulgarian capital – Veliki Preslav. The excavations that followed revealed more than 170 golden, silver and bronze objects including 15 silver Byzantine coins belonging to Constantine VII, Roman II (945 and 959) and other artifacts dating far back to the period between 3 rd and 7 th centuries.

Preslav was the capital of the First Bulgarian Empire from 893 to 972 and one of the most important cities of medieval Southeastern Europe. The ruins of the city are situated in modern northeastern Bulgaria, some 20 kilometres southwest of the regional capital of Shumen, and are currently a national archaeological reserve.

Targovishte is a city in Bulgaria, the administrative and economic capital of Targovishte Province. It is situated at the northern foot of the low mountain of Preslav on both banks of the Vrana River. The town is 335 km north-east of the capital Sofia and about 125 km west of the city of Varna and Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Targovishte is known as an old market settlement.
