Powerade Centre

The Powerade Centre (formerly the Brampton Centre for Sports & Entertainment) is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1998, and officially opened the same year on October 7. Its main arena is home to a major hockey team, the Brampton Battalion of the OHL. It is also home to the Brampton Inferno, Peel Avengers, and Brampton Excelsiors lacrosse teams.

Visual Arts Brampton

Visual Arts Brampton was formed in 1986 to organize the arts community, providing workshops, and exhibits, among other things. The president and founding member of this non-profit community art group is artist Keith Moreau. The group moved to its current studio in 1991.

Shoppers World Brampton

Shoppers World Brampton is a shopping mall in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Now 40 years old, it was at one point in the 1970s Canada's top selling mall, per square foot. It is host to over 190 stores, including Canadian Tire, Winners and Staples. Target will soon open in the location of the former Zellers store. A former bus terminal in the parking lot is scheduled for demolition, with the space to be reclaimed for mall parking.

Korean War Memorial Wall (Canada)

The Korean War Memorial Wall at Meadowvale Cemetery in Brampton, Ontario commemorates those Canadians who served in the Korean War. The wall is a curved 200-foot -long polished granite wall. It contains 516 bronze plaques, one for each of the volunteer Canadian soldiers who died in Korea. A central bronze feature lists all of the Canadian Military Units which served in the War. 1996.

Turner Fenton Secondary School

Turner Fenton Secondary School is the Peel District School board's largest high school, and the fourth largest school in Peel region, located in Brampton, Ontario. The principal is Richard Rozario. It operates under the Peel District School Board, and is credited as one of the highest funded schools in Ontario, with an endowment of $1.4 million. Feeder schools include Fletcher's Creek Sr. Public School and William G. Davis Sr. Public School.
