Stormont County

Stormont County area 248,608 acres is a county in the Canadian province of Ontario. Stormont was created in 1792, however, it was settled seven years earlier in 1785. Veterans of Loyalist regiments were among the first settlers. An estimated one third of the pioneers in the county were Highlander, one third German and the rest English, Irish and Lowland Scots. The original territory of Stormont also included Russell County, which became a separate county in 1800.

Farran's Point, Ontario

Farran's Point is an underwater ghost town in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is one of Ontario's Lost Villages, which were permanently flooded by the creation of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1958. Families and businesses in Farran's Point were moved to the new town of Ingleside before the seaway construction commenced. It is the birthplace of NHL hall of famer Cy Denneny.

Casselman, Ontario

Casselman is a village in eastern Ontario, Canada, in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell on the South Nation River. It is a village on the Trans-Canada Highway 417 between Ottawa and Montreal at the crossroads of Regional Road 7, about 55 km southeast of downtown Ottawa. Highway 138 to Cornwall and the USA is minutes away. It is served by a station on the Montreal-Ottawa Via Rail train, twice a day in each direction.
