Nicolet-Yamaska is a former provincial electoral district in the Centre-du-Québec and Montérégie regions of Quebec, Canada that elected members to the National Assembly of Quebec. As of its final election, it included the cities or municipalities of Pierreville, Nicolet, Bécancour, Sainte-Eulalie, Daveluyville, Saint-Leonard-d'Aston, Saint-Wenceslas and Saint-Gerard-Majella as well as portions of the city of Drummondville.

Yamaska (provincial electoral district)

Yamaska was a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada). Its final election was in 1970. It disappeared in the 1973 election and its successor electoral district was Nicolet-Yamaska.

St. Francis Raid

The St. Francis Raid was an attack in the French and Indian War by Robert Rogers and a band of his Rangers on the primarily Abenaki village of St. Francis, near the southern shore of the Saint Lawrence River in what was then the French province of Canada, on October 4, 1759.

École nationale de police du Québec

The École nationale de police du Québec (ENPQ) is the training academy for police officers in the Canadian province of Quebec. The academy, located in the city of Nicolet, replaced the Institut de police du Québec in 2000. The academy is administered by the Government of Quebec and has an operating budget of C$30 million, 10% of which are subsidies from the government.

Nicolet (electoral district)

Nicolet was a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the Canadian House of Commons from 1867 to 1935. It was created by the British North America Act of 1867 which preserved existing electoral districts in Lower Canada. It consisted of the County of Nicolet. From 1903 to 1924, it included the parishes of Ste. Brigitte, Ste. Eulalie, Ste. Perpétue and St. Samuel. It was abolished in 1933 when it was redistributed into Lotbinière and Nicolet—Yamaska ridings.
